Robert Half are partnering with a growing international logistics business to appoint a permanent Senior Management Accountant. Following a period of international expansion, the business is investing in strengthening its finance function and is seeking a fully qualified accountant to take ownership of core reporting, analysis, and financial processes. This is a hands-on, varied role with responsibility across multiple entities and exposure to senior leadership.
📊 About the Position
Reporting to the Global Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the finance team, providing insight and support across multiple entities and currencies. You will own critical financial processes, provide actionable analysis, and contribute directly to business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing VAT and Duty reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations accurately and on time.
2. Month-end and year-end close, including statutory accounts preparation and audit support.
3. Oversight of fixed assets, including schedules, disposals, and depreciation postings.
4. IFRS16 accounting and related reporting.
5. Producing departmental and P&L analysis to support strategic decisions.
6. Supervising the Assistant Management Accountant and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
7. Ad hoc month-end journals and reporting as required.
8. Assisting with statutory accounts and tax pack completion for multiple group companies.
9. Contributing to ad hoc financial projects with cross-functional impact.
📋 Candidate Requirements
10. Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA).
11. Extensive management accounting experience with full P&L ownership.
12. Prior exposure to a contract-related business and revenue recognition experience is desirable but not essential.
13. Advanced Excel skills and the ability to manage complex data.
14. Strong communicator, able to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
