Our client is part of a multi:billion:pound global organisation employing more than 70,000 staff in over one hundred countries and are recognised market leaders in their niche manufacturing sector. They are seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Plant Operations Manager to complement their established and professional team at their Crawley chemical manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
* Guide and develop a forward thinking and dedicated site production team as Plant Operations Manager to ensure activities run efficiently and safely and meet customer needs, while safeguarding the site by taking ownership of infrastructure, security, assets, and emergency systems.
* Oversee daily cylinder filling and handling operations to ensure the site operates efficiently, safely, and sustainably, building positive partnerships and ensuring objectives are achieved; champion safety and quality at all times by inspiring high standards in SHEQ leadership, leading safety committees and audits, and ensuring compliance with regulations and embedding best practices throughout the facility.
* Oversee all aspects of daily production and maintenance, manage resources and budgets to achieve and exceed targets while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.
* Champion continuous improvement by innovating and improving processes and productivity, and by empowering team members to achieve the same.
* Develop and maintain positive internal and external relationships through excellent communication and influencing skills.
Requirements
* Qualified to at least HND level or above in a relevant engineering discipline.
* NEBOSH certification is distinctly advantageous.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels; ability to develop and maintain positive internal and external relationships.
* Highly safety conscious; strong working knowledge of Health and Safety practices and ISO standards to ensure safety, consistency, and compliance in all areas of the facility.
* Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach in a often pressurised environment.
