About the Role
Due to a promotion within the team, we are now seeking an Electrical Qualified Supervisor to join our Responsive Repairs workstream, which has been providing a stable and profitable contract for thirteen years. The role involves delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, emphasizing teamwork for the benefit of the local community.
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Qualified Supervisor to oversee 10 electricians within the team. You will work in accordance with relevant Safety Regulations and departmental procedures, performing duties such as ensuring job coding accuracy, providing progress reports, managing RAILs, and ensuring subcontractors submit required documentation. You will control all aspects of cost, budget, and value analysis of the contract.
This is a hybrid role, combining field-based inspections and office work. You will conduct onsite inspections, oversee electricians, and handle general client queries across locations such as Bexley, Chatham, Croydon, and Tonbridge. Office days will be at the Tonbridge branch.
Role Criteria:
* Experience installing, servicing, and maintaining electrical systems and appliances according to the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations.
* Ability to install, repair, inspect, and test electrical installations, and to correctly fill in Electrical Certificates or Electrical Condition Reports.
* Experience supervising a team of electricians and apprentices, ensuring work is completed safely and promptly.
* City and Guilds 2360/2365 NVQ Level 3 Parts 1 and 2.
* City and Guilds 2357, including AM2.
* City and Guilds 2392 – Fundamental Certification, Inspection, and Testing.
* City and Guilds 2394 – Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations.
* City and Guilds 2395 – Periodic Inspection, Testing, and Certification of Electrical Installations.
* City and Guilds 18th Edition.
All roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work in the UK. Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
