We prioritize people, community, and social value.

Eric Wright Partnerships provides bespoke consultancy and development services that identify efficiencies and deliver health, education, and public and private sector estates that serve their users. Our collaborations enable us to transform estates for a sustainable future.

We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Building Surveyor to join our vibrant Building Consultancy team in Preston, Lancashire. This role offers exposure to projects across private, healthcare, education, local authorities, and public sectors. From early design to project completion, you'll gain experience in building inspections, design solutions, measured surveys, and condition reports. Working with experienced Chartered Surveyors and supported by our team, you'll help develop client briefs and contribute to building projects.

This role is ideal for recent graduates or those with 1–3 years' experience seeking career advancement. We offer growth opportunities, mentorship, professional development, structured training, project exposure, and support for your RICS APC journey to achieve Chartered status and build a long-term career with us.

Join us to build something great for your future and the communities we serve.

What you'll be doing:

1. Undertake measured and condition surveys and defect analysis.
2. Assist in managing building contracts, maintaining contractual and fiscal control.
3. Monitor small works contracts and conduct site visits.
4. Perform snagging inspections to monitor quality and workmanship.
5. Prepare specifications, drawings, and schedules of works.
6. Lead project design and delivery from inception to completion.
7. Conduct defect diagnosis inspections and prepare reports with recommendations.
8. Prepare health and safety information pre-construction.
9. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants.

About you:

1. Experience in a similar role, from placements or post-graduation employment.
2. A degree in Building Surveying or expected graduation this year.
3. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
4. Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
5. Proficient in IT, especially AutoCAD.

In return we offer:

* A competitive salary
* Working hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday
* Enhanced annual leave: starting at 26 days + bank holidays, increasing with service
* Learning and development: opportunities for technical skills, upskilling, compliance, governance, and career growth
* Pension: 6.5% employer contribution
* BUPA: optional scheme, including family coverage (50% contribution)
* Company sick pay: up to 20 days full pay annually
