With in-house expertise spanning laser cutting, CNC machining, fabrication, welding, and full assembly, they deliver complex projects from start to finish and they’re now looking for a Purchasing Manager to join their team. Position: Purchasing Manager
Sector: Metals manufacturing, CNC machining, welding, fabrication
Location: South Yorkshire
Salary: Negotiable according to experience
In this role, you’ll:
* Oversee supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and improve purchasing processes.
* Forecast procurement needs in line with market trends.
* Lead and develop a small purchasing team, driving both performance and personal growth.
* Deliver cost reductions and track performance against clear KPIs.
* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure procurement aligns with operational requirements.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* Knowledge of supply chain and lean principles.
