About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialized Technician to join our team. This full-time role is ideal for a hands-on individual who thrives in racing and autonomous vehicle technology, impacting our performance and the evolution of autonomous motorsports. The position is based in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, with frequent international travel for testing and racing events, requiring flexibility including occasional evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
* Vehicle Management: Lead setup, maintenance, and track-side operations of autonomous race cars and electric vehicles.
* Mechanical Excellence: Perform mechanical maintenance, disassembly, inspection, and reassembly to ensure safety and peak performance.
* Dynamic Track Operations: Manage vehicle operations during live sessions, including pit stops and setup adjustments.
* Logistics Coordination: Oversee vehicle transport logistics across Europe and internationally, collaborating with the Technical Director.
* Workshop Leadership: Maintain an organized and efficient workshop environment.
* Safety Stewardship: Adhere to safety regulations, flag protocols, and emergency procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Knowledge of high-performance vehicle systems, suspension tuning, tire management, and optimization.
* Basic understanding of electronic systems like steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire, with experience in MoTeC systems.
* At least 3 years of experience in a professional racing environment.
* Technical diploma or equivalent in automotive or mechanical engineering.
* Interest in autonomous driving technologies and innovation.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Valid Driver's License.
