* Salute at The White Swan is a busy, independent, local restaurant, based in Rothwell, just outside Leeds City Center, is looking for a Head Chef to join the team
* Serving Italian Style cuisine, using authentic Italian produce, this really is one of Leeds's finest Italian restaurants.
* We are looking to recruit a Head Chef with a passion for Italian cuisine. Who is able to work in a fast paced, high-volume venue and be a calming influence when the pressure is on.
* You must have previous experience in this role and knowledge of costing menus and keeping to strict budgets.
* You must be fully up to speed with all health and safety regulations.
* We are looking for someone who will lead from the front, be passionate and guide the rest of the team to be the best they can be.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation.
* Oversee all aspects of food production, including menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and presentation.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
* Lead by example in cooking techniques and food preparation methods to inspire the team.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs and kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
* Implement new recipes and menu items while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
* Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality before serving.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within a restaurant setting.
* Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts.
* Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both food production and kitchen management.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.

Pay: £40,000.00-£42,500.00 per year
