About the Role
Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant Butlin’s Buffets Department in Skegness!

In this exciting role, you’ll report directly to the Kitchen Manager and play a pivotal part in running our bustling kitchen. You’ll lead a fantastic team of chefs, stepping up in the Kitchen Manager's absence and ensuring that every dish served is a masterpiece. Your passion for delivering exceptional experiences will shine as you monitor performance and develop action plans focused on continuous improvement.

Your leadership skills will be key as you conduct daily briefings, manage stock control, and oversee the presentation of our delicious food. You’ll also play a crucial role in maintaining our financial performance by delivering food cost budgets through effective menu planning and cooking to our high standards. Plus, you’ll ensure that our food hygiene standards and health and safety practices align with legislation and company policies.

As a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, you’ll inspire your team through training schedules and performance development plans, ensuring they deliver a fantastic experience to our guests every time. Join us in our main buffet restaurant, where you’ll have the opportunity to lead and develop a talented team serving guests on a half-board dining package!



Key Responsibilities


We’re looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience in a similar role with large volume turnover. Our buffet department can host up to 3,000 guests per service, so strong time management and organizational skills are essential.

You should be hardworking, determined, and reliable, always seeking better ways for the team to consistently deliver our brand standards. If you’re energetic, enthusiastic, and fun-loving, you’ll understand the value you can add to the guest experience by unleashing your team’s potential and building strong relationships with leaders and team members on resort.

Requirements:
- Level 3 Food Safety qualification
- Confidence in leading a team to maintain high standards in a busy kitchen
- Experience managing margins and controlling costs
- Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations

This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, totaling 40 hours, including evenings and weekends. Please note that this role does not come with onsite accommodation.



Working Conditions


We’re looking for team members who can add that extra sparkle to our guests’ holidays by keeping our resort clean, tidy, and pristine. If you’re ready to go the extra mile for our team and our guests, we’d love to welcome you aboard!

Key Responsibilities:
- Clean our main venues and toilets using electrical and mechanical cleaning equipment (full training provided)
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely (full training provided)
- Conduct external road cleaning, including emptying general waste and recycling bins
- Move furniture to accommodate different activities within venues
- Clean and disinfect toilets and changing rooms

Normal Working Hours:
Evening shifts from 5 PM to 2 AM. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be over 18. Start and finish times may vary depending on the break type.
