FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
LOCATION: CRICKLADE
SALARY: £35,000 - 45,000 + BENEFITS
JOB TYPE: PERMANENT FULL TIME
Job Description:
The Financial Controller will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial information.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
* Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements.
* Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
* Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
* Manage the company's cash flow and monitor financial performance against budget.
* Liaise with external auditors and other professional advisors as required.
* Provide financial guidance and advice to department heads and other stakeholders across the business.
* Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of tax returns and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, with a strong background in finance and accounting.
* Experience working with Sage50
* A degree in accounting or finance, or a relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience is desirable.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* A proactive and results-driven approach, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
