Site Engineer in Chesterfield S18 Location: Chesterfield S18 Rate: £350 -£400 per day Hours: 7.30 to 5pm Hours Paid per day: 9 hrs paid per day Job Type: Permanent Job Description: Stridden Limited are recruiting for an established Groundworkers and Civils Contractor who are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be a key member of their site team, responsible for the technical and quality control of civil engineering works on multiple sites in and around the area. Site Engineer Key Duties: Your role will involve: * Setting out and conducting surveys to ensure all work is carried out to the highest level of accuracy, in line with engineering drawings and project specifications. * Managing and supervising subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. * Inspecting and auditing work on-site, implementing quality assurance procedures, and preparing comprehensive daily reports. * Acting as the primary point of contact for technical queries on site, collaborating closely with the design team, the client, and subcontractors alike. * Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and promoting our safety first culture. * Maintaining detailed records of all site activities, including progress, materials, and resources. * Mentoring trainee engineers within the company Site Engineer Requirements: The ideal candidate will have: * A degree or HND in Civil Engineering. * A minimum of 3 experience as a Site Engineer on groundworks and civil engineering projects across all sectors including housing, industrial, commercial, roads and sewers. * Proficiency in setting out using total stations and GPS equipment. * A solid understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and health and safety legislation. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. * CSCS card and other relevant certifications. * 1 reference on application * Ability to commute to various locations in and around the Chesterfield area reliably Equal Opportunities: We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all individuals, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or background.
