Electrician required on AWE

10 day on & 4 day off
Regular overtime available, including weekends
Contract length: 4 months
Role and Responsibilities
* Read schematic and electrical drawings, interpret blueprints/specifications and produce detailed sketches for equipment fabrication/installation.
* Measure, fabricate electrical enclosures, select and terminate cables, install and maintain electrical components.
* Investigate faults, investigate and correct faults, test and calibrate systems.
* As a multi-skilled job, it can command high rewards, especially when working antisocial hours and in challenging locations.
* Communicate and negotiate with other workers at all levels to obtain cooperation on site.
* Work within health and safety regulations to maintain high H&S standards.
* Possibly undergo drug testing as required by industry health and safety regulations.
* Install and maintain electrical systems and related control equipment.
* Select electrical systems and components according to specifications.
* Plan installation or repair to avoid obstructions and interference with other workers’ activities to keep within deadlines and budgets.
* Complete onshore electrical work to strict production levels and quality assurance procedures.
Qualifications
* Approved Electrician / Electrical Technician with mix of apprenticeship and trade school training.
* Qualified to NVQ/City & Guilds/HNC or higher in Maintaining or Installing Electrical Plant and Systems, or equivalent NVQ Level 3, with a JIB card.
* Desirable: 17th or 18th Edition qualification and qualifications relating to programmable control systems installation and maintenance.
* Must be able to obtain security clearance.
* Knowledge of 2391 Testing & Inspecting.
* Will be expected to have an electricity testing and inspection qualification.
