Role Overview: Senior Controls System & Instrumentation Engineer
The Electrical Controls and Instrumentation (E,C&I) technician, reporting to the Head of Engineering Services, will design, develop, install, and commission control systems and instrumentation used to monitor and control processes at customer sites and Flogas depots nationwide, including troubleshooting on-site across the UK.
We are transitioning towards 100% renewable energy by 2040, supporting customers in reducing carbon emissions and exploring new technologies such as heat pumps, solar panels, bio-fuels, and renewable gases. This role offers job security and the chance to be part of innovative initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
* Installation and servicing of safety, security, energy delivery, communication, and process control systems.
* Fault diagnosis on electrical installations, including measuring and indicating instruments for process control variables, PLCs, motors, valves, lighting, and gas detection systems.
* Ability to read and interpret line drawings, P&ID’s, and FDS documents.
* Monitoring PLC operation and associated equipment.
* Providing out-of-hours support for infrastructure and external customers.
