About Our Client

Job Description
3. Act as first point of contact for employee relations (ER) cases, guiding managers through informal and formal processes
4. Manage a varied caseload including grievance, disciplinary, performance, absence, and flexible-working requests
5. Partner with external HR/legal advisers to ensure fair and compliant case outcomes
6. Advise on HR policies, procedures, and best practice to ensure consistency and compliance
7. Support and coach line managers to build capability and confidence in people management
8. Review, update, and modernise HR policies to reflect current legislation and tone of voice
9. Deliver training sessions and policy briefings to managers across the business
10. Produce and interpret HR data and metrics to support decision-making
11. Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that enhance engagement and culture
12. Provide generalist HR support across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring an excellent employee experience
The Successful Applicant
13. CIPD Level 5 (minimum)
14. Proven experience in an HR Advisor or strong HR Officer role with solid ER exposure
15. Confident managing early-stage or complex ER cases with balanced, practical advice
16. Skilled at delivering concise, engaging HR training to managers and SLT
17. Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
18. Data-literate with experience producing and analysing HR reports/metrics
19. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills
20. Proactive, curious, and solutions-focused - brings ideas, not just process
21. Organised, resilient, and adaptable with a calm, professional approach
22. Background in manufacturing, engineering, or similar environments desirable but not essential
