Own your career and build something to be proud of at Balfour Beatty. Join our Balfour Beatty Asset & Technology Solutions team as a Suction Excavator Senior Supervisor. Work with experts who will share their knowledge, support, encourage, and provide invaluable feedback to help you grow.
What you'll be doing
1. Implement risk assessments and method statements as required; review and write them as needed.
2. Ensure all staff, including subcontractors, understand rules, regulations, standards, and policies; maintain systems to protect health and safety.
3. Maintain regular contact with customers to gather feedback on service quality and resolve issues.
4. Monitor the use of internal and external suppliers to ensure compliance.
5. Ensure all Site Audits are conducted digitally; record and close out corrective actions.
6. Report safety issues to the Operations Manager.
7. Support business growth opportunities.
8. Ensure compliance with company policies on Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
9. Promote raising observations and close calls; investigate and close out safety reports for the Suction Excavator Business.
10. Conduct investigations and close out as necessary.
Who we're looking for
Essential qualities/experience:
* CPCS Blue Suction Excavator Operator Qualification
* Willingness to work flexibly and embrace challenges
* Strong knowledge of health and safety
* Full Clean UK Driving Licence
* Strong record keeping and communication skills
* Customer service skills
* Computer literacy
* Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS): Site Safety Plus
Desirable qualities/experience:
* Experience/knowledge of the construction industry
* Conflict management skills
* HGV DQC Professional Driver qualification
