We are looking for a new Healthcare Administrator to join our Suffolk team. This role requires a 40-hour work week spread over 5 days, including weekends on a rota basis.
Responsibilities
The Healthcare Administrator will carry out various administrative duties, such as booking patient appointments, handling phone calls, replying to emails, managing post, and dealing with enquiries. The position requires working efficiently in a fast-paced environment where each day presents different challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring clinics are set up and patient appointments are fully utilised.
* Recording and filing appointment outcomes.
* Maintaining accuracy of all patient data, liaising with GP surgeries, clinics and patients.
* Updating and managing the electronic patient record system.
* Acting as the central point of contact for all telephone queries from patients and clinic staff.
* Communicating professionally with all stakeholders, including local NHS Trusts and CCGs.
* Booking appointments according to correct pathways, maintaining operational and clinical governance protocols, and meeting healthcare and risk management standards.
* Working independently and in collaboration with the Administration Lead and Service Manager to drive efficiency improvements.
Qualifications
* Educated to A-level standard or equivalent.
* GCSE Maths and English.
Experience & Skills
* Exceptional administrator with experience delivering within a complex working environment.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi‑task.
* Outstanding telephone manner and ability to adapt approach to different scenarios.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
