Overview
As a Casualty Claims Handler, you'll be responsible for making accurate and pragmatic policy and legal liability decisions, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service. Your role will involve investigating complex claims, negotiating with third parties, and providing clear and concise policy interpretations.

Responsibilities
* Deal mainly through Brokers, proactively managing a portfolio of claims up to £100K.
* Carry out comprehensive investigations into policy and legal liability for newly allocated EL, PL and Disease claims to negotiate a cost-effective and speedy resolution.
* Provide excellent customer service with a logical and measured approach to all tasks.
* Deal confidently and tactfully with people over the phone.
* Be an active and visible coach, focusing on working closely with the team to drive development.
Qualifications
* Proven negotiation skills and experience in managing EL, PL and Disease claims advantageous.
* Relevant transferrable skills with experience from the financial sector or insurance preferred.
* Prior experience in an office environment, with a focus on telephone communication.
* Experience of having a strong proactive approach to manage own caseload and commitment to customer service.
* Ability to make accurate and pragmatic policy and legal liability decisions.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
What You’ll Be Doing
* AXA operates with a flexible work pattern; you’ll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, potentially moving to three days (60%) in the future, with some roles based at our Bolton office.
