We have an exciting opportunity for a Children's Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (CHISVA) to join our team. As a CHISVA, you will deliver 1-2-1 support to clients in the community across Lancashire and at criminal justice locations, as well as supporting our digital delivery to groups such as parents of children affected by sexual abuse and violence.
You'll work between 9am to 6pm on a rota basis, with the opportunity to work from home up to 2 days a week on a hybrid basis.

About The Role
This role involves providing help and support directly to victims and survivors of sexual violence, working to the national ISVA framework to support victims throughout their criminal justice journey or their recovery journey if they haven't reported the incident to the police.
The role requires regular travel across Lancashire and supporting victims at criminal justice hearings. A driving license and access to a vehicle are essential due to travel requirements. If you are unable to drive because of a disability, please mention this in your application so we can consider alternative arrangements.
You will ensure victims and survivors receive ongoing support, advocacy, and impartial advice, including reporting to the police, accessing Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) services, and receiving specialist support such as pre-trial therapy and counselling for sexual violence. Digital literacy skills are essential, as is comfort presenting information to groups via Zoom.
