Job Summary
We are looking for an organised, friendly, and approachable individual with excellent communication skills to join our busy and supportive GP practice in Salford as a Medical Receptionist.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in delivering a positive patient experience while supporting the smooth and efficient running of the practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a caring, professional team at the heart of primary care.

Key Duties
* Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone in a friendly and professional manner
* Book, amend, and cancel appointments using clinical systems (e.g. EMIS Web)
* Handle repeat prescription requests and liaise with GPs and pharmacies
* Register new patients and update existing patient records accurately
* Manage incoming and outgoing communication (phone, email, post)
* Scan, file, and code clinical documents into patient records
* Support the clinical team by preparing documents and assisting with patient queries
* Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR and NHS data protection standards
* Signpost patients to appropriate services (e.g. NHS 111, pharmacies)
* Provide cover for colleagues during absences and support general practice operations
