Hours: 08:30 – 15:30, Monday – Friday

It is a purpose-built SEND school serving children aged 4 to 18. Their students often have complex and multiple learning disabilities, speech, language & communication needs, and physical or sensory requirements.

Role: Autism Support Worker
In this role, you will work closely with the Class Teacher and the wider team to support pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and day-to-day needs.
Key Responsibilities
4. Follow all school policies and procedures
5. Assist with feeding, personal care, and hygiene support as required
6. Support the Class Teacher in delivering lessons — adapt tasks, maintain pupil engagement, scaffold learning
7. Support behaviour management in line with school approaches
8. Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, enabling them to express themselves
9. Monitor and report on pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing
Essential Criteria (Non-Negotiables)
10. Recent, relevant experience working with children or adults with learning disabilities — in educational or care settings
11. Comfortable providing personal care (e.g. feeding, hygiene)
12. Ability to remain calm, patient and consistent under pressure
13. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
14. A caring, flexible and resilient approach
