Administrative Officer - Ministry of Justice
Location: Leeds
Pay: £12.86 per hour, rising to £13.25 after 12 weeks
Type: Temporary | Full-time (37 hours/week, Monday - Friday) | Hybrid working (3 days in the office)
Our Client is currently hiring for a dedicated Administrative Officer to support the Ministry of Justice in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a vital public sector team, providing essential administrative and systems support.
What you'll be doing:
* Maintaining and updating records across cloud-based systems and internal platforms
* Managing shared drives, ensuring document control and version accuracy
* Supporting contract administration, tracking key dates and compliance
* Assisting with financial monitoring, budget tracking, and preparing reports
* Creating and managing structured spreadsheets for operational and financial data
* Supporting data visualisation and dashboard updates (e.g., Power BI)
* Handling shared inboxes, responding to queries, and providing flexible admin support
What you'll bring:
* Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail
* Experience working with cloud-based IT systems and shared platforms
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data handling and reporting
* Confidence in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Experience supporting financial tracking, reporting, or contract processes
* Excellent communication and time management abilities
Desirable skills:
* Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
* Background in financial, contract management, or project support environments
* Familiarity with public sector systems and processes
