We’re looking for a passionate Lead Maths Teacher to join our supportive school in Cannock.
You’ll shape the direction of the maths department while delivering engaging lessons that inspire students.
As a leader, you’ll develop the curriculum, support fellow teachers, and create a positive classroom environment that builds students' confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons that meet the
individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND and trauma histories.
* Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
* Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school’s behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct.
* Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective support.
Requirements
* Resilience, empathy, adaptability, and
passion for supporting vulnerable pupils
* Commitment to professional conduct, safeguarding, and the Staff Code of Conduct
* Ability to plan, deliver, and assess effective teaching and learning.
* Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management in special education settings
* Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a SEND setting or similar provision
* QTS/QTLS
