Social Value & Section 106 Liaison Officer

The Social Value & S106 Liaison Officer will play a key role in ensuring these commitments are achieved by working collaboratively with site teams, supply chain partners, local authorities, training providers, and the wider community. The role will help promote a positive perception of the construction industry, inspire local people into construction careers, and ensure compliance with contractual and planning obligations.
Social Value & Community Engagement
* Proactively engage with local residents and businesses, ensuring clear, regular, and positive communication throughout the project lifecycle.
* Coordinate resident and business engagement activities, including:
* Newsletters and notice drops
* Briefings and updates
* Social and community events
* Act as a key point of contact for community-related queries, concerns, and feedback, working closely with site teams to ensure timely responses.
* Research, engage with, and build strong relationships with local schools, colleges, job centres, charities, and community organisations.
* Work in partnership with local and national charities, supporting initiatives aligned with project and company social value commitments.
* Identify opportunities for charitable support, volunteering, donations, and collaborative activities.
* Plan, coordinate, and deliver social value initiatives, including:
* Site visits
* Work experience placements
* Careers talks and presentations
* Community and resident engagement events
* Deliver engaging careers talks and presentations to schools, colleges, residents, and community groups.
* Promote construction as a viable, inclusive, and rewarding career pathway.
Section 106 & Employment and Skills
* Liaise with relevant local authority departments regarding S106, Employment & Skills, and Social Value obligations.
* Act as the main point of contact for Employment & Skills Officers and S106 Monitoring Officers.
* Develop, implement, and manage Employment & Skills Plans in line with planning conditions and contractual requirements.
