About the Team and the Role
A rewarding opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and dedicated Safeguarding Adults Team as a Team Administrator. This vital role supports a busy and dynamic team where no two days are the same.
As a central point of contact, you will liaise with a wide range of professionals — including GPs, mental health practitioners, hospital and care home staff, the Care Quality Commission, and the police — to gather essential information that supports safeguarding processes.
You will provide key administrative support, including:
1. Operating routine administrative systems and procedures that underpin the service.
2. Organising meetings and events in collaboration with internal colleagues and external agencies, including minute-taking as required.
3. Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
4. Providing a frontline customer service response and resolving basic queries.
5. Sending routine communications, issuing reminders, and following up on outstanding responses.
6. Prioritising and completing a range of routine service-specific tasks in line with approved procedures.
7. Supporting financial processes such as stock checks and raising purchase orders.
8. Monitoring and maintaining office equipment, reporting any issues as needed.
9. Collating, recording, storing, and retrieving data and information accurately.
Key Requirements:
10. Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
11. Ability to analyse and interpret factual information to solve straightforward problems.
12. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a range of audiences.
13. Proficient keyboard skills with accuracy and speed.
14. Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and handle interruptions.
15. Resilience and emotional awareness when working in sensitive and sometimes challenging situations.
16. Experience in handling and processing manual or digital information securely and efficiently.
