SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Rowley Regis, B65
Pay Rate: £110 - £120 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Monday - Friday, long-term temp to perm.
Long Term Futures are recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Rowley Regis, Birmingham. This role will involve providing consistent in-class support for two pupils with additional needs, including Autism and ADHD, helping them to access learning in a mainstream classroom setting. The perfect candidate will play a key role in supporting both pupils academically and emotionally, using strategies to manage behaviour, improve focus and encourage positive learning engagement.
This position is a long-term role and for the right candidate there is an opportunity to be made permanent. The school is looking for an experienced and positive individual who can become a key part of their SEN team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-class support for two pupils with ASD and ADHD
Support pupils academic progress, behaviour and emotional regulation
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
Implement strategies to support focus, engagement and routine
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environmentIdeal Candidate Profile:
Previous experience working within a primary school setting
Experience supporting pupils with SEN, particularly ASD and ADHD
Strong behaviour management skills
A patient, calm and proactive approach
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
