Tooling Design Engineer

They are seeking a skilled and innovative Tooling Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on designing high-precision tooling, moulds, fasteners, and related components to support manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing tooling solutions, particularly for composite materials, ensuring efficient, reliable, and cost-effective production.
Responsibilities of the Tooling Design Engineer
* Design and develop tooling, moulds, fasteners, and associated components for manufacturing processes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret design specifications and requirements.
* Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks.
* Conduct design reviews and modify designs based on feedback and testing outcomes.
* Ensure designs meet quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
* Continuously improve tooling designs for durability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
Requirements of the Tooling Design Engineer
* Proven experience in designing tooling, moulds, or composites.
* Strong background in composite materials and related tooling design.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
* Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant engineering qualification (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related).
