Job Overview
We are seeking experienced, positive and passionate individuals to provide high quality and innovative support to learners with a Special Educational Need or Disability (SEND) at Burnley College Sixth Form Centre. The role is based on site delivery.
Responsibilities
* Deliver effective support provision to individuals or small groups across the College, ensuring consistently outstanding learning experiences.
* Place and deliver relevant, supportive sessions, helping students to understand and record their work whilst considering their specific needs to ensure their holistic health and wellbeing.
Qualifications & Experience
* Good general education to at least level 3, with Maths and English at least at level 2.
* A Level 2 Learning Support qualification, or willingness to achieve one in a timely manner.
* Knowledge, experience and understanding of specific issues relevant to learners with SEN needs or learning difficulties/disabilities.
* Understanding of potential barriers to learning and strategies to enable learners to overcome them.
* Employment subject to an Enhanced DBS Check via the Disclosure and Barring Service; any post involving regulated activity will also be subject to an additional barred list check.
Location
On‑site delivery at Burnley College Sixth Form Centre, Lancaster Street, Burnley, Lancashire.
