Financial Adviser (Newly Qualified) - Preston
Our client is looking for a Financial Adviser to act as an intermediary between their company and customers. You will provide clients with financial guidance and make recommendations on how to best utilise their money. The ideal candidate will be able to research the marketplace on available products and services, identify customers’ needs, design financial strategies and close a sale.
Responsibilities
1. Provide strategic advice across a variety of financial products and services (debt management, cash management, insurance coverage, investments)
2. Assess client’s overall financial picture, understand their needs and develop a solid financial plan
3. Guide clients towards a profitable and secure financial decision
4. Cultivate client base and build win-win relationships
5. Network, generate leads and grab opportunities to sell funds, stocks, bonds etc to meet sales quotas
6. Keep abreast of new industry’s trends and research market to back up financial consulting
7. Oversee the course of the financial plan and update it, if necessary, to ensure profits
8. Comply with all industry rules and regulations
9. Liaise with providers, solicitors, valuers and other professionals
Requirements and skills
10. Proven working experience as a Financial Adviser, Financial Planner or relevant experience
11. Track record of successful financial guidance
12. Ability to analyse market’s financial data and to provide appropriate data-based advice
13. Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
14. Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
15. Excellent PC knowledge and ability to operate database systems
16. Current certificate of qualifications (FCA, CII, DipFA, CISI or other)
17. Degree in Finance or related field preferable
