We’re recruiting Engineers to join our London Thamesport team.
We are growing our Engineering Team with the addition of two Shift Technicians.
Working alongside our existing technicians, inspectors, and under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing essential site support for business-critical vessel operations, as well as general maintenance of Port Plant and machinery.
The successful candidate will be qualified in mechanical or electrical engineering at a minimum of NVQ Level 3. Experience diagnosing and fixing issues with HGV plant, specifically RTGs, TUGS/IMVS, and Quay Cranes, is required. You must be confident in driving all engineering plant, including completing service and repairs on Mobile Elevating Work Platforms. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to personal and professional development are essential, along with keeping up to date with the latest technical knowledge, equipment, and systems.
This role requires working fixed 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off, followed by 5 days on, 5 days off. Shifts will run between 06:00 and 22:00, Monday to Sunday. On weekends, shifts may finish at 18:00 if operational demands allow.
