SEN Teacher
Location: Wisbech
Contract: Full Time – Permanent
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and resilient SEN Teacher to join a specialist education setting, delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching to pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

What You'll Be Doing
Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
Support pupils with SEND and trauma backgrounds to make academic, social, and emotional progress
Use assessment effectively to track progress and adapt teaching strategies
Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour in line with school policies
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialist staff
Build strong, professional relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies
Contribute to professional development, reflective practice, and school improvement
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and follow procedures rigorously
Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
Respond sensitively to pupils' emotional and behavioural needs
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour
Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management
Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and professional standards
Resilience, empathy, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils
Experience in special education and/or trauma-informed teaching
Knowledge of SEND, social-emotional learning, and therapeutic approaches
Commitment to ongoing professional development
