About the role of Quantity Surveyor
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining the commercial team on a D&B contract for the construction of 87 flats across 4 residential blocks between 3 & 4 storeys high valued at £25m. This is a full-time site-based role with office visits. The duration of this project is 2 years.
They are the Main Contractor on the project and you will be reporting into a Managing Surveyor. The majority of projects are traditional build. You will be based on site in Surrey/South West London.
The company are an award winning developer/contractor who have been in the construction industry for over 25 years with a turnover of over £1bn. They are very busy at the moment with multiple upcoming projects in this region.
Key Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor
Include but not limited to:
* Develop a detailed cost plan
* Plan initial cost estimates
* Identify financial risks
* Compile and issue tender packages
* Monitor project costs against the budget throughout the projects life cycle
* Provide regular cost reports
* Negotiate and agree final accounts
Key Requirements of Quantity Surveyor
* Must have minimum of 4 years of experience at a contractor
* Residential experience is ideal but not essential
* Live within commutable distance to Surrey
* Degree in a construction related subject is ideal
