Electrical Supervisor
Sparkford | £40,000 per annum | Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 7:30am-1:30pm | Full-Time

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a globally recognised and fast-growing engineering company in Sparkford. Specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of incubation and HVAC systems for the poultry industry, this organisation has built a strong international reputation for delivering high-quality solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a hands-on leadership role within a forward-thinking business.
Key Duties
Manage the day-to-day operations of the electrical workshop.
Lead, motivate, and support a team of 6-8 electrical operatives.
Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet shipping deadlines and ensure on-time delivery.
Monitor and manage stock levels of consumables and electrical components.
Oversee labour planning, including supporting recruitment where required.
Adapt to changing priorities and manage staffing levels, including overtime.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure all work meets required standards.
Identify production issues and implement effective corrective actions.
Report on production progress, challenges, and solutions to senior management.
Monitor team performance, set targets, and carry out appraisals.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including conducting safety inspections.
Maintain accurate documentation, records, and filing systems.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory role within an electrical or manufacturing environment.
HNC / HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (preferred).
Strong practical electrical experience with proven leadership ability.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience with control panel wiring or similar environments.
Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Good commercial awareness and understanding of productivity drivers.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
