The Borrowing Full Funnel Marketing Team in Brands, Marketing and Experience (BMX) uses data and insight to anticipate and respond to customers’ changing needs, helping them to feel confident about borrowing well now and for their future. Working collaboratively with our channel partners (Accelerators), we orchestrate marketing activity across segments, products and channels to engage customers and drive growth for our unsecured lending business. As Senior Marketing Manager – Deepening and Retention, you’ll lead a team of talented marketers to design and implement the Customer Lifecycle Management marketing plan focused on deepening relationships and retaining customers across unsecured lending products (e.g., Credit Cards and Loans). You'll be responsible for the relationship with key partner teams, incubate innovation and take accountability for results, develop compelling strategies to retain and deepen existing customers, and lead implementation by mobilising pods of skills from across Full Funnel and Accelerator teams to drive meaningful change. Ability to inspire, lead and manage a team is vital. Previous experience or knowledge in the unsecured lending area is desirable. Experience required: Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead and develop marketing teams, set clear objectives, and deliver results through coaching and performance management. Marketing Strategy & Execution: Demonstrated success in creating and implementing full-funnel marketing plans and multi-channel campaigns that drive acquisition, retention, and measurable growth. Agile Delivery & Innovation: Experience leading agile pods or cross-functional teams to deliver marketing initiatives at pace, using data and technology to test, learn, and scale new approaches. Commercial Acumen: Ability to manage and optimise large-scale marketing budgets (£m), make data-driven decisions, and deliver strong ROI aligned to business strategy. Stakeholder Influence: Skilled at building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders in complex organisations to secure buy-in and drive change. Market Insight & Creativity: Track record of bringing to bear market trends and emerging channels to develop innovative campaigns that achieve commercial outcomes. Desirable: Previous experience and knowledge of working in unsecured (consumer) lending within a marketing team.
