About the role

Are you a qualified accountant with a passion for partnering with business leaders to drive performance and strategic outcomes? Join Balfour Beatty's UK Enabling Functions Finance team and play a key role in supporting a cost base of over £160m and a headcount of 1,200+.

We're looking for a confident and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to provide end-to-end financial support to our enabling functions. You'll be a trusted advisor to function leads, helping shape decisions, improve visibility, and deliver actionable insights.

What you'll be doing

* Act as the primary finance contact for assigned overhead functions
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes (P&L/BS)
* Deliver monthly reporting packs with clear commentary and insights
* Support strategic planning, investment appraisal, and scenario modelling
* Drive cost control, financial discipline, and process improvement
* Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and operational teams
* Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team development

Who we're looking for

* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACMA/CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven experience in finance business partnering or FP&A
* Strong accounting and month-end close expertise
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proficient in Oracle, PBCS, Power BI and Excel
* Ability to translate complex financial data into clear narratives
* A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
