About the Role
ESPO maintains a fleet of over 40 vehicles from 3.5 tonne to 13 tonne GVW (as well as using contract transport) to deliver goods. The Delivery Driver is normally responsible for one of the LGV vehicles. Drivers provide a contact point for customers and should promote the Consortium image by being helpful and courteous at all times, in smart appearance. Drivers have a general responsibility to operate in accordance with statutory requirements and good practice of Road Transport Operation.
This role is a Safety Critical Post and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with our policies and procedures. If appointed, you will be required to agree to a planned test and achieve a negative result as part of any conditional offer and/or during probation. A copy of our Substance Misuse Policy and Procedure is available on request.
About You

* Monday to Friday with no overnight stays
* Potential opportunities for Term Time Working
* Well maintained fleet of vehicles, delivering to schools, colleges, care homes, council buildings, etc.
* CPC training provided by ESPO’s own Approved Training Centre
* Free parking on-site
* Maintain current Category C Licence
* Maintain digital tachograph card (possess digital tachograph)
* No more than 3 penalty offences for moving traffic offences
* Demonstrable practical application of multi-drop parcel delivery or similar customer focused service
