Our team focuses on customer satisfaction and attention to detail, driving repeat business.We’re growing, and we’re looking for a hands-on Contracts Manager to take ownership of projects from award through to completion.Role DescriptionReporting to the Business Unit Director, you will be responsible for the safe, profitable and timely delivery of multiple painting and decorating contracts throughout Central & East Scotland. You’ll be the key link between our clients, site teams and the office.Key responsibilities:Manage multiple projects from pre-start to final handoverAttend pre-start, progress and handover meetings with clients and main contractorsReview scopes, drawings and specifications; highlight risks and variationsPlan labour, materials and access requirements to deliver projects efficientlyCoordinate and supervise site supervisors and painting & taping squadsEnsure quality standards and snag-free completion in line with client expectationsMonitor programme, progress and site records; implement recovery plans where neededManage variations and final accounts in conjunction with the officeEnsure compliance with H&S legislation, RAMS and company proceduresBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractorsAbout You:We’re looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and comfortable on site and in front of clients.Essential:Experience as a Contracts Manager / Project Manager / Senior Supervisor within painting & decorating or a related trades contracting environmentStrong understanding of site operations, programmes and construction processesGood commercial awareness – variations, valuations, cost controlProven ability to manage multiple jobs at different stagesExcellent communication and client-facing skillsStrong planning and organisational skills with attention to detailCompetent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and basic project/admin systemsFull UK driving licenceTrade background in painting & decorating or similarDesirable (nice to have):Experience working with main contractors on commercial / new-build / refurbishment projectsSMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS and relevant H&S trainingWhat We Offer:Competitive salary and package (DOE)Company VanPension schemeOpportunity to grow with a developing business and influence how we do thingsSupportive, down-to-earth team cultureWhat We Offer:If you’d like to be part of Optimus Decor’s next growth phase, click “Easy Apply” on LinkedIn or send your CV and a short note outlining your experience to john.taylor@optimusdecor.uk with the subject line “Contracts Manager – Optimus Decor”.
