Scope of the Role The Production Manager is accountable for: * Ensuring best practices are embedded in all manufacturing processes relating to Safety, Quality and Productivity. * Supporting manufacturing operations across Fabrications, Assembly, and Paint departments to meet On Time In Full Error Free production. * Delivering Manufacturing KPIs, including throughput, quality, HR, and Health and Safety compliance. * Driving employee engagement, workforce development, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. * Overseeing equipment and manufacturing process improvements. * Ownership of the Manufacturing performance * Accountable for the Manufacturing performance against Business Targets. Primary Objectives * Help carry out recruitment activities. * Direct and oversee operational production teams. * Help establish and monitor KPI’s and improve where necessary. * Ensure team motivation and facilitate structured development of all employees via performance management activities, to ensure delivery of KPI’s and other strategic objectives. * Help devise and revise daily Production Plans. * Allocate appropriate resources in order to achieve daily Production Plans. * Help ensure all products are manufactured to a high standard, whilst improving efficiencies. * Collaborate directly with supply chain, production planning and stores colleagues to optimise Production Schedule attainment and achieve customer satisfaction. * Facilitate daily production meetings, setting targets and ensuring people are held accountable for communication updates and allocated actions. * Generate continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of Production. * Ensure effective collaboration with the Sales, Drawing and Quality Departments to ensure effective production planning. * Implement and adhere to all statutory health and safety-related compliance requirements. * Assist the HSQE Manager in the management of the departmental Quality Assurance system - ISO 9001. Secondary Objectives * Support cross-functional collaboration to improve overall operational effectiveness. * Assist in developing long-term manufacturing strategies aligned with company growth objectives. * Enhance communication channels between production, quality, and supply chain teams. * Promote sustainability initiatives within manufacturing operations. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required for Role * Good standard of Maths and English. * Ideally a relevant management qualification. * At least 2 years’ experience in a management role within a similar setting. * Ability to work in sometimes stressful, fast-paced environment. * Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
