Astute's Power Team are looking for an Environmental Technician to join a large, modern Energy from Waste Power Station located in Bedfordshire. The facility, which is now in full time operation, provides a vital outlet for the sustainable disposal of over 545,000 tonnes of residual waste per year and will generate over 60 megawatts of low carbon energy - enough electricity to meet the needs of over 112,500 homes. Responsibilities and duties of the Environmental Technician role: Reporting directly to the Senior Environmental Manager, as an Environmental Technician, you will be responsible for: Assist in the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Environmental Management System (EMS), including management of ISO 14001 certification and surveillance audits. Prepare and support environmental reporting using specialist software, covering emissions to air, land and water in line with Environment Agency requirements.
