Job Description:
Protech Site Services are currently recruiting for an Early Shift Manager for a 5* Residential Housebuilder.
Job summary/purpose:
Leading a team to successfully meet or exceed business KPIs in line with customer expectations and budget commitments. Ensure efficient and effective deployment of all shift resources. Continually strive to identify and implement process and system improvements. Act as an ambassador for ensuring safe systems of work are enforced at all times.
Primary responsibilities:
· Ensuring appropriate resources (people, equipment) are available to meet planned activity levels and within agreed budgetary commitments
· Ensure delivery of business KPIs and communication of progress of team and individual performance
· Conduct investigations, return to work interviews, and disciplinaries
· Complete high quality quarterly performance appraisals in line with company guidelines
· Own and maintain the shift training matrix, proactively identifying gaps and implementing plans to resolve
· Complete monthly health and safety audit, ensuring actions are completed within agreed SLAs and clearly communicated to the team
· Proactively identify improvements that drive productivity and accuracy standards within the warehouse, including optimising the effectiveness of the WMS
· Ensure absence and attendance investigation are carried out in a timely manner
· Plan holidays effectively and ensure cover is in line with policy and procedures
· Ensure effective shift handover communication to all personnel on shift
· Drive compliance with hygiene and housekeeping across the shift at all times
· Provide timely and accurate information for daily operational meetings

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements, Education Required/Preferred
· Proven experience of successfully leading teams within a warehouse environment
· Self-motivated and able to work autonomously and effectively balance competing demands
· Strong literacy and numeracy skills
· Experience of working with warehouse management systems
· Competence in the use of basic Microsoft packages (Excel, Word etc.)
