The Construction and Engineering Lead will lead DT/ Construction and Engineering lessons and activities including leading relevant qualifications e.g. BTEC Level 1 and Level 2.
Hours:
Term time only, 35 hours per week
Salary:
£34,398 + £2,787 SEN allowance

As the Construction and Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for:
Plan and prepare courses and lessons in accordance with the defined curriculum of the school
Teach, according to their educational needs, the students assigned to you, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by students at school or elsewhere
Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of students
Promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and any class or group of students assigned to you
Take responsibility for financial arrangements for school trips or visits, as defined in the school's
financial regulations, where the teacher has agreed to be involved with such a trip or visit.
The successful Construction and Engineering Lead will have the following related skills / experience:
DCFS recognised qualified teacher status or equivalent professional experience of teaching Construction and Engineering
Evidence of effective SEN teaching over a wide range of needs including SEMH
A sound curriculum knowledge and understanding of key strategies for effective teaching and learning of Construction and Engineering
