Responsibilities
* Assist and support qualified staff, carrying out assigned tasks as directed, without supervision.
* Carry out housekeeping duties where required.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills to engage, persuade, or negotiate with clients who have complex or challenging needs, ensuring they receive the most appropriate care and support.
Locations
* Parklands – adult mental health wards and older person mental health in Basingstoke.
* Children and adolescent mental health (CAMHS) inpatient wards – Bluebird, Austen and Serenity across Tatchbury Mount and Winchester.
* The Orchards in Southsea, Portsmouth – older person mental health in Brooker.
* Forensic services – Southfield (Tatchbury Mount), Calmore or Ravenswood in Fareham, with an additional forensic lead payment of £1401 pro‑rata per annum.
Salary and Benefits
* HCSW induction programme lasting up to 6 months: salary of £25,272 during training.
* After completion of the induction: salary rises to £25,760.
* Additional statutory pay for forensic services as referenced above.
