DevOps Engineer (Azure) South Wales (Hybrid – 3 days per week in office)
Salary: Up to £70,000 pa + annual bonus + benefits
CPS Group are working with a leading South Wales based Financial Services organisation with a global footprint. They have an excellent opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join their expanding Tech hub in South Wales. Happy to consider Mid – Senior level candidates.
Working within a cross-functional team, you will enhance development processes, optimise release procedures, and collaborate on infrastructure and deployment automation projects.
Modern open plan offices, easily accessible from M4 with parking.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy and support .NET and web apps, manage SQL Server scripts and backups.
Handle environments (DEV, TEST, PROD) and follow release/change processes.
Set up and tune servers using VMWare; monitor performance and logs.
Install and support tools like BizTalk, Dynamics CRM, and Pega.
Keep deployment docs up to date and fill any gaps.
Manage users and permissions in Active Directory.
Help with disaster recovery planning and occasional out-of-hours deployments.
Spot automation opportunities and improve deployment processes.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines; drive DevOps best practices.
Skills & Experience
Background within similar DevOps role (ideally so Senior level but flexible)
Experience creating and maintaining build and deployment pipelines
AzureDevOps experience (certification preferred)
Experience with some or all of the below:
Windows Server/ SSMS
IIS and Apache Tomcat (Web services)
Virtualisation software
Package management tools (CloudSmith / JFrog Artifactory)
Container management (docker or Kubernetes)
CICD process with ideally with SAST and SCA code analysis
DevOps tools: Git repo, Azure DevOps, Azure, GitHub, TeamCity, OctopusDeploy, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
