Job Summary
To efficiently manage the field operations including controlling sub-contractors’ day-to-day operations and ensuring that material supplies are available in conjunction with the Site Manager. Assist the Site Manager in planning and programming site activities, ensuring the work is completed safely. Deputise for the Site Manager where necessary and manage quality standards to meet customer expectations.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Organisation and control of labour and sub-contractors.
2. Completion of weekly planning sheets to ensure the overall build programme is met.
3. Provide direction to individual contractors and manage contract quality standards.
4. Coordinate with the Site Manager to ensure the availability of materials to meet the construction programme.
5. Ensure all site personnel comply with health and safety regulations and the company’s safety procedures.
6. Carry out inspections to ensure operations are safe and compliant.
7. Ensure all work follows method statements and risk assessments.
8. Coordinate with Sales and other departments regarding customer options, variations, and issue resolution.
9. Plan and arrange site inspections with relevant authorities and inspectors.
10. Assist in ensuring properties are defect-free, clean, and ready for occupation at legal completion.
11. Conduct regular inspections and snagging during the build process.
12. Ensure contractors work according to drawings, specifications, and scope of works.
13. Manage site presentation and waste disposal in line with company policies.
Experience, Qualifications, and Technical Requirements
* Trade background with NVQ Residential Construction Site Supervision L4.
* Detailed knowledge of building processes, NHBC, and Building Regulations.
* First aid qualified.
* CSCS card at Manager/Supervisor level.
