Purpose Of Role
To provide students with resources and encouragement to help them navigate academic and personal challenges.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist students in developing effective study habits, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, and following through with Individual Learning Plans (ILP).
2. Provide regular formative feedback on assignments and monitor progress.
3. Guide students in interpreting summative feedback.
4. Keep records of assignment submissions and student progress.
5. Act as a key contact for students, holding regular meetings throughout their programme.
6. Maintain supportive relationships to integrate students into the learning community.
7. Encourage students to think broadly about their learning beyond individual modules.
8. Help students overcome barriers arising from personal or social issues.
9. Offer personal support on academic, emotional, social, or life challenges.
10. Deliver one-on-one and group lessons on various units.
Other General College Duties
1. Work flexibly as part of the team to ensure smooth operations.
2. Participate in college activities such as duty rotas, enrolment, and marketing events.
3. Engage in training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.

* Educated to undergraduate level (E).
* Ability to recommend resources based on subject knowledge (E).
* Ability to teach and motivate others (E).
* Proficient in Word, Access, and PowerPoint at least at an intermediate level (E).
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
