Job Description
Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to take on a senior leadership role within an established female mental health service. The position offers both clinical and medical management responsibilities within an acute setting, with support to a linked rehabilitation ward as needed.
Salary: Around £160,000 + £8,400 car allowance + £10 welcome bonus

Your key responsibilities will be;
* Take clinical responsibility for patients across acute and rehab wards
* Act as Responsible Clinician for detained patients under the Mental Health Act
* Support and supervise doctors on site, including Associate Specialists
* Contribute to governance, service strategy, and management meetings
* Lead MDT reviews and participate in strategic and risk planning
* Provide psychiatric insight to assessments, formulations, and care plans
* Deliver and support in-house training and clinical supervision
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
* Full medical qualification with MRCPsych (or equivalent)
* Previous Consultant experience within mental health
* Up-to-date understanding of developments in psychiatry and clinical care
* Experience in clinical governance and service development
* Leadership skills and ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams
* S12 & AC
