We are seeking a skilled High Reach Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating high-reach forklifts to efficiently handle materials, manage stock, and support shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, mechanical aptitude, and safety protocols to ensure smooth and secure operations within our facility. Responsibilities
* Safely operate high-reach forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
* Manage inventory by accurately stacking and organising stock in designated areas
* Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying deliveries and preparing orders for dispatch
* Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment and perform minor repairs or report maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel
* Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accordingly
* Handle materials with care, ensuring proper lifting techniques to prevent damage or injury
* Support warehouse organisation by maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow efficiency and meet operational targets
Qualifications
* Valid forklift licence with proven experience operating high-reach forklifts in a busy warehouse environment
* Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures
* Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting
* Experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, and general warehouse operations
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
* Basic mathematical skills for measurement, counting, and data entry tasks
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in physically demanding conditions
* Prior experience working in a warehouse setting is highly desirable
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
