Responsibilities
1. Prepare, bake, decorate a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts and breakfasts, according to recipes and menu inspiration.
2. Ensure the visual output is on-brand.
3. As a private chef, provide menus for specific clean food/vegan diets.
4. Cater for company private events.
5. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace and a hygienic work area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
6. Collaborate with the private culinary team, café drinks team, and creative director to meet customer and family demands.
7. Use high-quality, health-focused supplements and ingredients; source and shop for them.
8. Manage inventory levels and order supplies proactively.
9. Work early morning shifts.
About you
1. Experience in baking, pastry, cake decorating, and food handling, preferably in a health-conscious, vegan café environment.
2. High-level cake decorating skills and techniques.
3. Knowledge of health and wellness cooking, trending ingredients, and global food trends.
4. A self-starter with motivation to meet high standards.
5. Familiarity with food preparation techniques in a restaurant or kitchen setting.
6. Proficiency with professional kitchen equipment such as mixers, blenders, ovens, and dough sheeters.
7. Understanding of food safety practices and organic supply sourcing.
8. Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Terms
1. Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7 am – 12 pm; Saturdays optional for extra pay; additional paid hours possible for events.
2. Work location: In person, private kitchen in central London, with some prep in the store.
3. Salary & benefits: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and provide supporting documents.
