About the Job
We’re looking for a Senior Project Planner to play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.

You Will
* Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, at all levels of the organisation, to define and achieve mutual understanding of the scope of work.
* Produce and maintain a portfolio of projects ensuring planning procedures are followed.
* Support the bid team in the production of robust schedules, cost and resource plans.
* Prepare reports for all planning activity metrics, and providing analysis on all results with guidance/recommendations on required improvements.
* Challenge project performance data and turn it into relevant, high quality and accurate reports.
* Provide a planning and programming service to both external and internal clients, ensuring that all time-related issues within projects are effectively considered and controlled or addressed.
* Present information in a manner to enable the understanding of non-technical stakeholders.
* Co‑ordinate with project teams including clients, project managers, other consultants and supply chain members, to negotiate and co‑ordinate project and programme issues.
* Act as a key contributor in the project management team assisting in the successful implementation and delivery of large, complex projects.
* Identify schedule risks and opportunities; support development of mitigation strategies.
* Assess the impact of change requests on project timelines and provide schedule impact analysis.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and functional leads to gather input and validate schedule data.
* Facilitate planning meetings, progress reviews, and look‑ahead sessions.
* Ensure all stakeholders understand schedule requirements, constraints, and dependencies.
* Maintain schedule risk registers and contribute to risk workshops.
* Work with the project team to ensure or contractual obligations with regards to issue of project plan / programme are met.
* Co‑ordinate with the project manager to ensure that the project plan is achievable prior to submission to the client, confirming availability of manufacture, materials and labour resources.
* Ensure that client and third‑party milestones and pre‑requisites are incorporated and logic linked into the project plan.
* In collaboration with the project team update the project plan with progress as per the contract / ITI process requirements, ensuring that any items affecting our progress are recorded and impacted accordingly to both protect our position with regards to delay and assist in supporting the recovery of our entitlement for time and cost in accordance contract.
* Manage the project plan for a portfolio of projects, contribute to business resources and workshop planning forecasts and reporting.
* Consistently deliver accurate, contract compliant programmes on time while proactively identifying delays and providing timely evidence to minimise the business’s exposure to commercial and schedule related risks.
* Represent ITI Group in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships.
* Understand clients’ requirements and the impacts of the success factors of the project, developing a schedule and delivery plan to ensure success.
* Identify potential project schedule delays and mitigations.
* Support adherence to planning standards, procedures, and reporting cycles.
* Ensure schedules comply with organisational governance frameworks and contractual obligations.
* Maintain accurate and auditable planning documentation.
* Work as part of a team to ensure project delivery to the cost, time and quality objectives of the Client and the organisation.
* Monitor and control all work in progress using standard reports and KPI’s.
* Follow all health and safety regulations, procedures and protocols.
* Successfully identify and complete all relevant training both in‑house and external, as required.
Summary of Requirements
We are looking for:
Experience and Knowledge
* Undertaking or completed a relevant Project Management qualification.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
* A good understanding of project management with exposure to various stages of the project management lifecycle.
* Experience in producing, analysing and advising on Project Performance data, and determining root causes and impacts.
* Experience of NEC Contracts.
* Experience of project planning for complex engineering / construction projects.
* Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), critical path analysis, earned value management (EVM), and resource loading.
* Mastery of MS Project, Primavera P6, or Asta Powerproject.
* Appropriate Degree in Science, Engineering or a similar subject.
