We are on the lookout for a Senior Technician to play a vital role in the smooth operation of a thriving campus environment. Working closely with the Facilities and Campus Managers, you will help ensure buildings, facilities and services meet all company and legislative standards. You will also provide front line technical, IT and facilities support to students and staff, contributing to an exceptional campus experience. The role may involve occasional support across multiple locations, depending on business needs.
* Based in Lincoln, Lincolnshire
* Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
* Support the setup and maintenance of equipment for lessons, coursework, exams and events
* Maintain clean, safe and well presented facilities and resources
* Act as an on site point of contact for staff and students needing technical or facilities support
* Respond to support requests promptly and effectively
* Oversee equipment booking systems and manage resource loans
* Set up and support live events, open days and special activities, including occasional evenings and weekends
* Carry out regular preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities
* Liaise with external contractors on electrical, security and fire alarm maintenance and upgrades
* Carry out routine building system tests and maintain accurate compliance records
* Support staff and students with setup and breakdown of technical or specialist resources
* Serve as a site keyholder, including responsibility for building opening/closing and alarm call-outs
* Work with the Facilities Manager on planning and budgeting for upgrades and contractor appointments
* Collaborate with the technician team on room upgrades and redesigns
* Assist in creating and managing inductions and user tests for specialist facilities
* Manage room bookings and support timetabling alongside the Head of Centre
* Provide technical support for student projects and external events in consultation with tutors
* Work with IT technicians and central IT teams to maintain smooth IT operations
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Experience with MacOS, ChromeOS and Windows workstations
* Familiarity with IT management systems such as JAMF and Google Workspace
* Strong knowledge of classroom AV equipment, troubleshooting of AV and IT network systems
* Basic electronic maintenance, including cable making/repair
* Ability to use tools and carry out basic building maintenance
Desirable Skills:
* Adobe Creative Suite | Acoustic and electronic instruments | Games engines such as Unity, Unreal and Blender, VR headsets, cameras and videography equipment | Music production software including Logic Pro and Ableton Live, Music production hardware including mixing desks, outboard gear, microphones, MIDI controllers and synths | PA and lighting systems, including DMX control and AV network protocols | Web-streaming tools such as Blackmagic ATEM, OBS and streaming platforms
