Hydraulic Modeller – Water & Wastewater
Nottingham - Hybrid working
A well-established engineering consultancy in Nottingham is looking to strengthen its water team with the appointment of an experienced Hydraulic Modeller.
This role is suited to a modeller with a solid background in the UK water sector, looking to take ownership of technical delivery and work on complex, high-value clean water and wastewater projects as part of long-term infrastructure programmes.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key technical role in delivering hydraulic modelling studies, including:
Building, calibrating and validating hydraulic models for clean water and/or wastewater networks
Leading modelling inputs for network capacity, growth, resilience and optimisation studies
Interpreting large datasets and translating outputs into clear technical recommendations
Producing high-quality technical reports and supporting client decision-making
Collaborating with engineers, planners and project managers across multidisciplinary teams
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members (where appropriate)About You
Proven experience as a Hydraulic Modeller within the UK water industry
Strong working knowledge of InfoWorks WS Pro / InfoWorks ICM / InfoWater or similar platforms
Experience working on water company frameworks and AMP programmes
Confident managing technical tasks with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with internal teams and clientsWhat’s on Offer
