We are currently seeking a Clinical Research Nurse for our Synexus site in Cardiff, UK.
Working days, Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week, with a primary focus on patient safety. The Clinical Research Nurse conducts ongoing clinical trials involving patients or healthy volunteers, ensuring all data is accurately captured and safety is maintained. The role involves interaction with the research team and participation in site operations, including recruitment, enrollment, and retention of participants.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting studies according to FDA/GCP and ICH guidelines.
* Providing medical care prioritizing patient safety.
* Scheduling visits within protocol windows.
* Performing study activities such as informed consent, vital signs, pregnancy tests, ECGs, etc.
* Recording patient data accurately.
* Completing IP accountability logs when required.
* Reporting non-compliance issues.
* Ensuring IRB approvals and compliance throughout the study.
* Building positive relationships with patients to promote retention.
* Attending training and site meetings.
* Managing patient bookings and follow-ups as needed.
* Ensuring data accuracy in sponsor systems and documentation.
* Maintaining source documents and up-to-date patient files.
* Adhering to company policies and standards.
* Supporting waste disposal and facility maintenance.
Qualifications and skills required:
* Understanding of clinical research processes (GCP, SOPs, safety monitoring).
* Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
* Discretion and sound judgment.
* Good decision-making, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Effective communication and fluency in English.
* Organizational skills.
* Proficiency in basic computer applications.
* Interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
